In October 1990 the government of Tatar Republic made a decision to perpetuate the memory of the outstanding Tatar Art Worker of the XX century. The museum was founded in the center of the city side by side with the whole complex of measures. The street in Kazan will be named after B. Urmanche very soon.
The expositional space isn't very much. Museum is situated not only in the center of Kazan, but in the center of cultural life as well. There are many cultural and historical places not far from museum. It can be suitable for the center of Urmanche's heritage.
The main purpose and aim of the museum is to represent the creation and personality of founder, to form an exposition and funds of originals and exact replicas, photos and documents, to create master's research center, studying and popularization his art, preparation and publishing works, publications, films.
