Meeting of the President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences with the employees of the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences

On August 18, 2023, the President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat N. Minnikhanov visited the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.
During the visit, the President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences met with the administration and employees of the Institute. Director of the Institute of Archaeology Ayrat G. Sitdikov presented to the President the main directions and results of research activities.
The perspectives of using digital technologies in preserving historical and cultural heritage were discussed, including on the basis of the online geographical information system “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan and the Tatar people”.
During the meeting, Rifkat N. Minnikhanov outlined the priority directions of the Institute development: close cooperation with scientific and educational institutions in the implementation of various programs, including the “Decade of Science and Technology” Program, attracting talented young people to research and creation fields to solve the most important tasks of the development of society and the country, increasing the availability of information about the achievements and prospects of Russian science among the population, and emphasized the need to continue research on the study of cultural history of the peoples living in the Republic of Tatarstan; continuation of cooperation with the Revival Foundation.
