Astronomical observatories KFU are included into the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List

The extended 45th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Tangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, co-chaired by Russia, is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is the first face-to-face session in four years.
It has just become known that by the decision of the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee in Riyadh the astronomical observatories KFU are included into the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List.
The specialists of the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences took a direct part in the preparation of project documentation.
