April 27, 2017 Innopolis City hosted the Russian Venture Forum, which brought together representatives of innovation infrastructure, innovative companies and start-ups in search of investment.
The forum was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Andrei Fursenko, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Economic Development Oleg Fomichev, General Director and Chairman of the Board of JSC Russian Venture Company Alexander Povalko, General Director of the Fund for the Promotion of Innovation Sergey Polyakov, the director of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan Ainur Aideldinov, as well as the president of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Myakzyum Salakhov. Ambassador of Austria to the Russian Federation Emil Brix, co-founder and Managing Partner of Endeavour Vision (Switzerland) Sven Lingjaerde and founder of Global Technology Capital (USA, Silicon Valley) Alexandra Johnson also took part in the event.
In his welcome speech, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the venture exhibition, which was held earlier in the regions, and now has the status of an all-Russian forum, which undoubtedly enhances its effectiveness.
Andrei Fursenko, in turn, noted that Tatarstan always differed in observing the right balance between traditions and innovations, remaining among the leaders in the development of innovations. "I am confident that this relationship will always be a hallmark of Russian Venture Forum", - he added.
