Tatarstan Academy of Sciences

Myakzyum Salakhov, President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, is on a working visit to Sukhum (Abkhazia), where events related to the 20th Anniversary of the Academy of Sciences of Abkhazia (ASA) are taking place.

Salakhov congratulated the ASA on the occasion of the jubilee and noted that the Academy of Sciences of Abkhazia is the main scientific center of the country, ensuring the unity of scientific and technical policy, the integration of fundamental and applied research for the implementation of their results in the economy and social practice of the Republic of Abkhazia. He also stressed that the Cooperation Agreement between the ASA and the TAS, signed in 2015, called for an important role in the development of interrelations between the scientists of Abkhazia and Tatarstan, which provides for interaction in various fields of knowledge, among which the issues of history, archeology and philology, since they are a priority for both the Academy of Abkhazia and the Academy of Tatarstan.
