TATZET collection

February 6, 2018, the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences hosted the presentation of the platform "TATZET" electronic collection of tatar language, developed by the TAS G. Ibrahimov Institute of Language, Literature and Art and the TAS Institute of Applied Semiotics jointly with partner organizations of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, with the aim of popularizing the Tatar language on the Internet.
"TATZET" is located on the special tab of the TAS site and includes the electronic fund of dictionaries of the Tatar language, the corpus of Tatar literature (includes prose and poetic works of Tatar authors, texts of individual folklore genres, translated from other languages into Tatar), the "Tugan tel" national corpus of the Tatar language (more than 150 million words), the electronic catalog of the toponyms of the Tatarstan (a comprehensive dictionary that includes 3920 names of geographical objects), a speech synthesizer in the Tatar language (language and voice module, voice information on the screen of a personal computer using screen voice access programs), packages of Tatar localization Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, Android operating systems, iOS, etc.
The event was attended by President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences M.Kh. Salakhov, Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan D.F. Zagidullina, chairman of the Committee for Culture, Science, Education and National Affairs of the Tatarstan State Council R.I. Valeev, director of the ILLA TAS K.M. Minnulin and others.
The presentation of the "TATZET" collection continued with a discussion of pressing issues and problems that arose during the implementation of this project. It was also noticed that this platform will be useful not only for scientists or teachers, but also for university students, school students, local lore specialists and others.
It is worth noting that the "TATZET" electronic collection of tatar language is not a complete version, the project will be constantly improved and updated.
