Tatarstan Academy of Sciences

The working group for the development of the “Strategy for Development of the Tatar People” has included more than 50 scientists and public figures.

The working group itself is structured, it includes a coordination center, consultants, experts and groups in the following areas: education, culture, information space and organization of the cultural space of the life of the Tatars. Each working group for the directions included 7 experts and 4 consultants. Among them are mainly academicians and officials.

Thus, Rinat Zakirov, head of the WCT executive committee, entered the coordination center – he will lead general management of the Tatar Congress; Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Dania Zagidullina, who will oversee the work of the Academy of Sciences; general management of the KFU will be Director of the Institute of International Relations of the KFU Ramil Khairutdinov. Here, head of the “Culture” group is vice-rector of the Kazan University of Culture, professor Rafael Valeev, head of the “Education” group is director of the Institute of Archeology after Khalikov Airat Sitdikov, Head of the Information Space Group – Research Fellow at the Institute of History Mardzhani, sociologist Lilia Sagitova, as well as leader of the group “Organization of the Cultural Space of Tatar Life Activities” – historian Damir Iskhakov. The consultants of the working group are also divided by areas. Thus, chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on education, culture, science and national issues Razil Valeev, academician Indus Tagirov and director of the Institute of History after Mardjani Rafael Khakimov will advise on general issues, and Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Safiullin – on economic issues.

Mufti of Tatarstan, Kamil Samigullin, along with Niyaz Iglamov and Damir Natfullin, will act as consultants to the Culture group. Director of the Center for Islamic Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Rinat Pateev will organize cultural living space of the Tatars. RIAF Rector Rafik Mukhametshin and RII Rector Iskander Izmailov are in this group. Counseling them will be done by Chairman of the Council of Municipal Formations of the Republic of Tatarstan Ekzam Gubaidullin. The information space will be supervised by Iskander Gilyazov and Rimzil Valeev, director of the Institute of the Tatar Encyclopedia and Area Studies. They will be advised by the first deputy head of Tatmedia, Elvira Akhmetova.

Separately, within the framework of the group “Organization of the cultural space of life activity of the Tatars”, a consultant for youth affairs has been defined. They selected first deputy minister of youth of the Republic of Tatarstan Timur Suleymanov. In addition, the strategy envisages the formation of a “Strategic Initiative” from projects that are included in the “roadmap”. This work will be supervised by: Ruslan Aisin, Kadriya Idrisova, head of the World Association for Assistance to Tatar Entrepreneurs Farit Urazaev and Gubaidullin – in terms of the organization of the life activity of the Tatars; Airat Faizrakhmanov, Oleg Khisamov and head of the department of national education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan Lilia Akhmetzyanova – in terms of education; Yarullin, head of the national center for the development of traditional culture of Fanzilya Zavgarova, head of the department of literary criticism at the Institute of Language and Literature Alfat Zakirzyanov and Natfullin – in terms of culture; Valeev, head of the Institute of the Tatar Encyclopedia and Regional Studies Larisa Ainutdinova, editor of “Kazan Utlary” magazine Rustam Galiullin and Akhmetova – in part of the information space.

The experts will include ethnographer, professor, doctor of historical sciences, head of the basic department of the MAE RAS at the NIU VSHE SPb, president of the Russian festival of anthropological films Andrei Golovnev from St. Petersburg, president of the International Turkic Academy, doctor of historical sciences, professor Darkhan Kydyraliz of Kazakhstan, professor University of Wisconsin Yulai Shamil-oglu from the USA, Imam-Khatib of the Tatar community in Finland Ramil Belyaev, Associate Professor of the Tatar Music and Ethnomusicology Department of the Kazan Conservatory of Gennady Makarov, Scientific Director of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences Robert Nigmatullin, Associate Professor of the Tobolsk State Socio-Pedagogical Academy Zaituna Tychinsky and Director of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law at the Government of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Taliya Khabrieva.

The working groups on the directions also included deputy director of the Institute of History after Mardzhani Marat Gibatdinov, director of the Ibragimov Institute Kim Minnullin, Head of the Department of Regional Studies and Eurasian Studies at IMO KFU Rail Fakhrutdinov, Fandas Safiullin, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin, deputy of KazGorduma, director of the Tatar gymnasium No. 2 of Kamaria Khamidullina, head of the department of ethnological studies at the Institute of History named after Mardzhani Gulnara Gabdrakhmanova, writer Vakhit Imamov, Chairman of the Writers’ Union of the Republic of Tatarstan Danil Salikhov, Head of the Center for Ethnoarchaeological Studies of the Institute of Archeology after Khalikov Vladimir Napolskikh, Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Republican Unitary Enterprise, Professor Aidar Yuzeev and others.
